IBS Robotics began as a passion-driven initiative focused on innovation, learning, and hands-on engineering. What started as a small group of curious minds experimenting with robotics has grown into a committed team dedicated to building real-world technical skills and inspiring the next generation of engineers.

IBS Robotics has built a strong competitive track record across local and international platforms. Our team has achieved success at the Ghana Robotics Competition, secured a two-year winning streak at the FIRST LEGO League, and earned recognition at the African Robotics and AI Competition. We have also showcased innovation and creativity at STEAMnovation and other STEM-based challenges. These achievements reflect our commitment to excellence, teamwork, and pushing the boundaries of robotics and technology.

IBS Robotics began its journey in the Central Region and has since expanded its reach to other regions and communities, extending its impact both nationally and internationally. Through this growth, our mission has remained the same: to make robotics and STEM education accessible, practical, and transformative for young people everywhere.Among all the places we’ve settled and worked, Ho has become our strongest hub of impact. In Ho alone, IBS Robotics has successfully reached and supported over 26 schools, equipping students with hands-on robotics experience, technical skills, and exposure to global innovation standards. This expansion reflects our commitment to building sustainable STEM ecosystems and empowering future innovators across regions and beyond.

From our early beginnings to our growing impact across regions, every step of the IBS Robotics journey has been driven by one goal: creating opportunities for young innovators to learn, build, and compete. As our community expanded and our experience deepened, it became clear that the next step was to create a platform that brings talent together at a higher level. That vision is now becoming reality with the launch of the Volta Robotics Challenge 2026 (VRC 2026) — a flagship competition designed to challenge creativity, technical skill, and teamwork on a global stage. VRC 2026 represents the culmination of years of growth, competition experience, and community impact, and marks a new chapter where IBS Robotics moves from competing to empowering the next generation of robotics leaders.
